I am taking Philosophy and have to write an essay saying who I am with out discussing gender, physical features, race or ethnicity, relations, religion, pollitical affiliations, or employment!
Can you in 100 words describe yourself without using any of the above attributes?
I don't think I could do it in ten... :p

I'll try......(if I can remember the things "NOT" to mention).....
I am a person who takes life far too seriously at times, and when times call for it.....not serious enough! In certain situations you can count on me to be level headed and calm, yet in times when I should be calm and level headed I go off at the blink of an eye. Call me unpredictable!
I live life with a spontaneous plan. I know what I want to do and when the mood or opportunity strikes I take the plunge, fore I know not when the chance will come again. I am a living, breathing oxymoron.
How'd I do Lil? And what do I win? LOL!

For such an assignment, I highly recommend the Myers-Briggs personality type description of your particular type. I know that many professionals in the psych field look down their noses at it, but I find it extremely insightful and accurate for myself and most others I know. It's just fun to explore. The book Please Understand Me II: Temperament, Character, Intelligence, by David Keirsey, contains a short test that will tell you what your supposed personality type is. Then you can read that section describing "yourself." Even if you don't want to bother taking the test, skimming through it will probably give you ideas for describing yourself.
Two other authors who publish books about this particular personality theory are Otto Kroeger and Janet M. Thuesen (e.g., Type Talk: The 16 Personality Types That Determine How We Live, Love, and Work). I love their books; they have a great sense of humor. Another set of authors who aren't bad are Sandra Krebs Hirsh and Jean Kummerow, authors of Life Types: Understand Yourself and Make the Most of Who You Are.
If you don't want to have to put out the expense of buying these books, you can always go to Borders or Barnes & Noble and look through them there.
For example, in their personality abbreviations (the 16 types), I'm an INFJ. In a nutshell: committed, compassionate, intense, determined, sensitive, holistic, loyal, creative, deep, conceptual, reserved, and idealistic.

I am the voice I hear when no one else is speaking. I am the one to blame for all of my dumb decisions. I'm the person left when I divide the world into people in front of and people behind my eyes, and remove the former. I'm the one who knows all of my nasty secrets.
Should I keep going, or can I put away the shovel? :)
Incidentally, I should probably also mention that I am the walrus. Goo goo g'joob.

I'm a pretty happy person who likes to kid around and tease a bit. I've been fortunate to see a lot of the world and meet a lot of really terrific people. I enjoy quiet times in the country, exciting times in the city, and the ride back and forth between the two. I like sunny skies and soft, warm rain showers; pretty snowy fields and broad blue waters. I love to watch squirrels play and birds soar. And, I like to think that when I can, I'm there to help others in need.
Does that work, Lilith?

Now where'd I put that gum I promised to share with ya T-S?
Damn good writing folks!
