Where do you keep your toys??

While chatting with some good friends the subject came up about our toys, yes our toys ;). We came up with two questions...


1. Where do you keep your toys?

2. And who has found them?


If someone has found them tell us the story. Every detail if possible, your reaction and all.

Personally, I keep them handy. I have a nightstand with a lock on the top drawer. Well I guess I was worn out one night and left the key in the lock. Low and behold I have a few friends over, well they just came over, and my 4 yr old comes walking out with a g-spot vibe and had it turned on. "Mommy, what is this?" is what i heard and then laughter from my guest. I turn around to see what is the deal and to my surprise he has my toy. I was so embarressed. But the guest were cool about it and wanted demonstrations of how to use the toy!!! Say the least my secret is out. But now every time I see them, thier gretting to me is "wanna play yet?" or "can I watch when you play?" Just to let you know we haven't played yet! but who knows?

I have a few in my nightstand by my bed, but most of them are in a locked file cabinet in my bedroom. Mine haven't been found by anyone that I am aware of, but they've been heard. I used to keep a few in the storage area where normally a typewriter would fit in a big old metal office desk in my bedroom. One day my son came into my room to tell me something, when all of a sudden one of the vibrators started vibrating. It was really loud vibrating against the metal floor of the storage space. My son (a teenager) turned to me and said, "Mom, you better turn that thing off." I must have turned 10 shades of red.

Another time I had some in my bedroom closet. I was in another room when my teenage daughter came up to me and said that there was a really weird sound coming from my closet. After that I finally learned my lesson; I remove all batteries before I put a toy away. :)

Blue, thanks for the battery tip... lol It's just me and my bf in the house and out nightstands are three-tiered quarter circles. Well, an my bf's side there is a large round table that obscures most of the middle shelf, so we keep the most often used things over there. Last year we bought new bedroom furniture, spent way too much getting the good stuff and suprising to us when we got it home the nightstands bottom drawers both had false bottoms.....So on one side of the bed you will find a movie collection tucked away and the other side has just recently started to accumulate toys.

Movies are in the movie cabinet that is locked and the toys are in a box on the shelf in the bedroom. Just myself and my S/O at home. All my family and hers know about the movies and have even borrowed them. LOL:D

BCG, if you are hiding from kids, forget it. They will discover anything you have not under lock and key and sometimes even that. So anything you don't want your kids to see, don't keep.

BCG, do you have any type of "office" setup in your bedroom--computer, desk, etc.? If you do, you could probably get away with having a 2-drawer filing cabinet. You could say you use it for papers for school, etc., which you, indeed, might. But you also could stash some toys in it. Those can be locked. And they're pretty cheap at any of the discount stores. For years I've either worked out of my home or been a student. I'm usually living in a small place, so my "office" has been in my bedroom. Sometimes I've even used the 2-drawer filing cabinet as a night stand for setting a lamp on by the bed if I am really cramped for space. Then it's REALLY handy. :)

BCG, when I was off at college I had a black chest with a combination lock on it to keep my CDs and stuff in. Stuff I didn't want roomies to have, things I was afraid would be stolen. When I moved home, it became the repository for sex books, condoms, a couple of magazines (all of which are gone now).
Videos are WAY in the back of a desk drawer, where only I would think to look/find them (so I hope, but it's been good so far).

Only advice I have is that in your purse is a bad location. My sister left hers in an old purse, what she forgot was that it was my mothers old purse. My Mom wanted to use it, went to clean it out, and well there was the vibe. I have an open and laid back family, there was no real suprise or disgust in the vibe, but we do stil tease her about it.
