Here's a place to put any good ideas for the site. Some times people PM me with them but I am really interested in what you would suggest to make the site more enjoyable.

The #1 suggestion I hear is to somehow link the Erotic Story Feedback to the story discussed.

If you have ideas you'd like to share this is the place to do it.

Attachments in PMs would take up a hell of alot of space. I think that is one of the reasons Kim offers Pixies mail. I use my Pixies mail acct for all site stuff.

I’m sure this won’t be a good IDEA, but I hope it’s a good question.
Is there a better way to locate a member than going to the members list and clicking on the letter? You can flip through them that way, but if you have over 60 pages of members nicks that start with that letter and can only move 2 pages at a time at best, it becomes protracted. They load slower than snail snot in winter and it’s a pain. I can try to recall a thread or post they may have made and forage from that end, but still is quite slow most of the time. Try looking up “slimmer”, to maybe send a PM to.
If we can’t add an [ ENTRY ] box, can we expand the advance to more than 2 at a time or at least move it to the top of the page?

Pantyfanatic~ When you click members, the left hand box above the first of the names says Advanced Search. Click it. Put the nick in the top box there and hit enter. It will give you the nicks that are closest to the one you are looking for.:)

Another way to find Members Profiles, if you know they have posted to a thread , is to click on the number next to the thread under the replies heading, this brings up another dialog box with the members names that have replied to a thread and the number of replies they have posted.
From the dialog box you can then select a member to view thier profile

The idea is that all stories must be submitted through the forums now. Anyone who would like to post their story can, but they will have to register. This solves the unregistered/dobbydog problem we have alot. All stories here will now be self submitted stories not threads or posts. You are more than welcome to post feedback and chat about stories in the erotic feedback. Often when people came looking for stories they had to wade through pages of flirting and chit chat to make it from one story post to the next. Don't get me wrong, you know I dig the flirty chit chat just now it will move to the erotic story feedback area.;)

One thing that would make things easier for me would be a way of jumping to the last page, or the first unread post, when clicking on a thread in the "New posts" area. Whenever there's a new post on a Smut Game, for example, and I click on it, I get the first page, then have to click on "Show first unread".... would be easier if there was just a small button or something in the actual New Posts page....

Just a thought, and there's probably an easy way that I'm missing lol!

When the switch-over took place, the ability to reply to stories by a link in each story directed to erotic story feedback forum, did not make it. I have restored the ability for members to reply to stories individually until the problem can be resolved. I think that most of the authors truly want feedback and are encouraged to post because of it. Please take time to check out the stories and reply to any that do the trick. Submissions are trickling in rather slowly lately and we can help increase that by showing our appreciation.

Is there some way I could filter or rank the forums?

Based upon the postings I see, it seems that we all have preferences. Some prefer Smut Games, others prefer General Sex News, and still others prefer other forums. If members could filter out certain forums, we would each be able to personalize the site to more closely match our disposition.

In addition to the option of forum filtering, I’d like to know if there is some way that members might rank forums. For example, I have a distinct preference, in descending order, to Pictures of Couples, Pictures of Women, and Pictures of Men. Rather than limit the organization of the new posting to a strictly chronological order, if the list of new posting could be ordered by time within forum, members could segregate the New Postings to place those they find interesting at the top of their list. I daresay that other members would have other preferred rankings based upon their tastes.

Currently with the version of the program we are using there is no way for each member to 're-arrange' the forums to suit their particular tastes. I have looked into having Smutt Games removed from the New Posts however I have not come up with a way to do it yet and not just disable New Posts all together. I have not given up on this quest yet however until I find a solution I suggest you "scroll, man scroll" or do like I do and look in each forum, in the order you prefer, for the yellow envelopes on the left. They indicate threads with new posts. I will keep looking for a better way!

I am from England, and the date style over here is different, as you may know. We have it as dd-mm-yyyy as apposed to mm-dd-yyyy in other parts of the world. The option to modify this setting and also changing the clock to say 7:00pm instead of 07:00 would certainly be good.

If you put Poll in as your search word you will get the polls since Poll is in the title. You will get other threads too but you will get all the polls. The polls cover extrememly diverse topics so curently they are best suited in the forums as we have them divided. Maybe as the site grows and needs increase, as it did for our games area, we will need to make room for a polls forum.

I think if there were a field in the profile that said something like 'PMing me is ok' Or 'Ask before you PM me' or something would be nice. There are some people here I'd like to pm sometimes but never really know if it's ok with them or not and too shy to just try it and find out.

The PM system here is like an IN-house mail system. Every member is entitled to use it. Members can easily not accept an unwanted PM by denying receipt. There is a specific place to click that option. There is nothing disrespectful about PMMing someone and asking if they mind if you send them a PM. Members who have a problem with a PM, or a member abusing the PM system, can forward it to me and I can remove their right to use the system or anything else for all that matters.

There is a box in your options that says enable private messaging. If you see a PM button on the bottom of their posts then they chose to accept PMs.

I agree with that! I know Lil already answered it, BUt I still think iT'd be nice to know that people are willing to be PM'ed.

Also- i'd like to see when a certain person was last online. Like adding a "This person was last logged in on Oct 12, 2002 @ 1:33:48 AM" or something like that. I hate not being able to contact sopmeone because they're no longer online.

I also think that a board where you could add everyones locations would be great,s o we could look up people close to us.
If People didn't want their names on there, they would have to come online and delte it.... Thena gain, that's just another idea of mine.

If you send a PM and they do not deny receipt, then look in your message tracking I think it tells you when they were last online. Some things have to stay the way they are to avoid misuse of features. It's not anyone's business when you were last online, frankly. That is why people are permitted to perv invisibly.

As for uploading ....They are uploaded to the server/site. If you mean, allowing {IMG} I hate it!!!! I don't agree that it's a good idea. If you image load it would auto open and many people turn off avs and choose not to open attachments at work or if they have others at home. And if someone stops paying for their webspace, etc. then our site gets left with a zillion tiny X boxes.

When you click on the thread, does it automatically take you to the page of the thread that you last viewed, where the new posts begin? I think that it must not be an option because it is time/ effort/ database/ server intensive. But I will snoop about some more and see what I can find out. TY for the screen shot!!!!

I do my stories originally in Word and use the spellchecker there....then i cut and paste them into the submit box in the story section

No, it just takes me to the first page of that thread. It may not be possible to have that come up, but, since the actuall thread is what is put in "View New Post", I would think that it would be there also.

I think it would be great if there was a way to search for posts with attachments. In other words when I search for all posts by a certain member an option of showing only posts with an attachment would be great. I don't know if it is possible, but it sure would save me a bunch of time trying to find pictures;)

The "IP: Logged" and the "edit" links in posts.

Rather than have the server process a request and return an error, if the control is disabled the transaction can be avoided in the first case.

Edit works for 120 minutes after a post and IP logged works for the people who have access to that information.

Quite true. I was referring to the edit buttons of posts by other members. Note that the edit button is in close proximity to the quote button. All posts by regular old members should be non editable by all other regular old members. If the edit button of posts made by member.name != my.member.name are disabled, and if the IP Logged link is derived similarly, then no error transactions of this form need be processed on the server.

I’m guessing of course, but as the page is dynamically generated, there may be a net reduction in I/O if the urls are not included when the member does not have the appropriate privileges. This information already exists, as it is evaluated when the link is clicked.

It's there just as with IP logged, because mods and admin have access to it at all times. Would be nice if it gave me the option to make them invisible to those without access but alas it's not an option available to me.

When I attempt to visit a page that requires me to be logged in and my session has expired, I am redirected to the login page. After I login, whatever action I was attempting to do is re-attempted automatically (eg: viewing a pic in one of the pic forums, making a post), but this fails if the the action involves posting data from a form, eg posting on a thread, sending a PM, etc. I get messages such as "Invalid thread specified", and while I can get back to the form with the data I entered in it, it's kind of annoying and would be nice if it could be fixed though I'm guessing this would require modifications to the forum's code. I do have ideas on how to do this if suggestions are needed.
