Vaginal Biopsy

My gf had her papsmear last week. she got a letter today saything they foudn something and needed to do a biopsy. Has anyone here ever had one done? can you fill me in on the procedure?

Is it okay for us to have sex until the biopsy? also what about after the biopsy?

HI airhog! I know it sounds scary but it will most likely be fine. If ya want any specific info feel free to pm me. I have not undergone this but living in a college town know lots who have.

Tell her to ask for a Valium before they do the biopsy, it takes the edge off. I have them done every 3 months since I have cervical cancer. The first one I had done hurt like hell so now I get the yellow pill!

I had this done about 10 years ago, and I still remember the pain. IggysGirl is right--pain medication would help tremendously. Feel free to PM me, airhog, if you have any other questions or concerns. As an aside, if she is concerned about the future, please tell her that after the procedure I was able to get pregnant three times, and have known other people who have had it done as well with no problems.
