Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I feel like writing something sentimental today. Something beautiful! I want to write about the concept of beauty. It seems that the world is getting smaller but yet we are so removed and apart from what we consider important and meaningful anymore. With work, family, responsibilities, we are constantly moving in every directions. We don't even have time to smell the roses. To get back to the basic things; such as taking one day at a time, learning to relax, to smile and to laugh more. And in our rush to idealize what we thought was the scientific, rational approach and our wish to harness nature, we turned away from those concepts not easily explained in scientific terms, such as spirit, love and beauty.

To each of us, the definition of beauty is subjective. And what I call beauty is far from what we call pretty. In my eyes, a plastic rose no matter how well fashioned can never be beautiful; it can only grow dusty. It is the full cycle of life of a real rose that gives it its beauty. Knowing that it wilts and dies is the essence of its wonder. Music is beautiful because there is within the wonderful melody both the pathos and the joy of being human. I believe we underrate even our traditional concept of beauty. A diamond ring is but a diamond ring. To me, it has no sentimental value. It cannot replace true genuine love between a man and his lover but to others a diamond ring symbolizes love and commitment. Yes, beauty is only but a judgment of taste. But through my eyes, our world is the world of objects, of inner musings made real, a world of things not necessarily coming from ideas.

Beauty, like love, has the power to change things. It can also help us make decisions and unite the disparate elements in our lives. Why is nature so prolific in endowing its creations with magic of form, color, and diversity? Is it merely for competition and procreation? Is beauty perhaps the physical manifestation of love? Sorry but I can't answer that for you. You have to come up with that answer yourself

for me, beauty is seen is someone's smile when it comes from their soul and seen on someone's face who is at peace with their world. ~~~~~~~~~~
