So i went to CVS earlier and got some pics developed. now im sure you can imagine what types of pics these were...a young couple with a good camera, lots of film and lots of time...

so anyway, when i went to pick them up a small series of events happened that had to be the funniest thing ive ever been part of.

so i go up to the film register and tell this guy my last name so he could get my pictures. the dude was probably 50 yrs old, grey/white hair. he gives me my pictures and i wrote a check out for them. he then comes around the register and asks if he could talk to me outside. i was like "sure". i knew what this was gonna be about.
we get outside and he says:

"We have a policy about these kind of pictures. This is a college town and we get alot of these kinds of pictures. Now I'll print these. Nudes are ok. If it gets worse than this then you make sure you get me to develop them. I dont want the girls to develop this kind of stuff. So just make sure you find me next time."

I said to him "so they came out then?"

his reply "yeah, theyre good."

I was like "alright" and left.

When the dude was talkin to me he was being extremely serious. Didnt smile or anything. Now i know he was probably tryin to protect the other workers (all of them younger women) from the 'types' of pics us horny college boys send in, but i bet the old dude smacks off in the back too.

I got back in the car and almost died from laughter.

Probably the company has policies about what is acceptable, & sounds like the "old dude" has his own policy...generally Co. policy is to confiscate and/or destroy anything that might be deemed porno, usually anything beyond nudes...so he's sticking his neck out for you, & yeh, getting a few jollies on the side in exchange...
Wait a minute, "old dude"?...I'm close to 50 myself!

That is pretty funny! I just wonder what he would've said if your g/f was the one picking them up...I guess that's why I've always been kind of leery about the idea of taking the pics on film and going to get them developed. Digital is the way to go I guess if you want to avoid situations like that ;)

Yup, BCG has it right. It's a digital world. Get with it. No trouble!

BCG and Denny: I have a Nikon FM10 fully manual SLR camera. I wouldnt trade it for the best digital camera in the world.

Scotzoid: Im not complaining. Its no problem that some guy gets to look at the pics because he is doing me a service. I just better not tell him about Pixies, cuz then he could look at them for free!!

and I mean "old dude" with the utmost respect for, well, old dudes.

I'm with you Santiago, I love my old Canon. Nothing can surpass the quality, and artistic expression in manual cameras. Me and a girl friend of mine have taken dirty pictures of each other with some great results. I sent away to get them developed though so I didn't need to face the guys at the lab... As much I I love my manual for artistic expression, I have been toying with the idea of getting a digital for my sexual expression.
