Pixies Place Forums - Anybody Interested?

Just by the nature of Pixies, we get to see and share our personalities and viewpoint that we can seldom discuss openly with many adults. As is often mentioned, after being here for just a short time, we develop a feel of family and being in a group of special people that we have come to know through their regular posting of pictures and thoughts. I can tell any newer member that feeling only becomes stronger as time goes on. I believe that each regular viewer and poster gains a sense of what makes up the Pixie population and what we do in our little corner of the world.:)

By nature (or curse) I like to see how MY “intuitions” of us jive with a broader prospective than just my angle of sight. So….. since some silly people here pointed out where I could find some membership information, I have been poking around in the boxes in the basement. I’ve found a lot of very interesting and surprising facts about us. For instance:
Of the 16, 226 registered members, 13,832 have NEVER posted even one time as of Mar 6. That means that 2,394 of us are being watched by more eyes than we ever thought,:eek: or a hell of a lot of people like to take the time to go through the registration process for nothing.:confused: And remember, you don’t have to register to be looking at our board.:rolleyes:

If anybody else finds this information interesting, let me know here and I’ll be glad to share some of the facts I’m finding.:p

Errrr....people need to register to look at the 'Amateur Pictures' section....so they come to perve(which we all do :D ) but not to participate (which 2,394 of us definately do, personally i dont understand people that dont....it's fun)

I think that comes out to about 14.8%. (and that wasn’t made up on the spot Lixy. ;) ) “But you ain’t seen nothing yet folks.” Try 1.6% as the number of people that generate the power for our village.:eek: That means that if the membership were a wheel or gear, it would be 49-1/4” in diameter with a ½” axel supplying the power. LMAO (I’ll tell you more about how I got that later ;) )

Actually most everything I’ve found is NOT MEMBER SPECIFIC. I only have access to the same membership info all members have and am very limited in query capabilities. It doesn’t even count or total for me,… only lists.:( I just enjoy playing with myself,:o …..I mean numbers.:D And due to my feeble mindedness, I have to state the end result of the numbers in a visual picture I can relate to.

I’m only intrigued to do this as, “I love this place and WHAT AM I REALLY PART OF?” Does it look the same when I stand waaaaaaay back and look as it “feels” from inside?

I hope you find this interesting too. :D

PF what about pepple who have registered more than once (reverant & uncle silky) and I have registered more than once, first time changed ISP and lost password and old E-Mail address so I had to reregister and if you look I'm also registered as Lady Pleaser. So if you add all my post together I have over 3100 post.

Exactly right!………….. or not?:confused: LOL They could be anything from a one-time viewing kid whose mother took a hammer to the hard drive to a person that has a dedicated puter set up to monitor us 24/7. Either would be the extreme. The only thing we know for certain is that they registered and when.

So I attempt to set a reasonable middle ground (and state what I think it is), [ie …“… 2,394 of us are being watched by more eyes than we ever thought, or a hell of a lot of people like to take the time”] and give you the numbers I have found.

We know that over 13,800 listed members found us interesting enough to register and never posted once. Even if 70% never peeked back one time, (unlikely after registering:rolleyes:) that would leave over 4,000 as that 1 out of every 3. To me that’s still a lot and people watching us and would be an increase of 167% over the 2,400 we know that has posted.

How we interpret the figures is both the fun and up to us.:D I will just tell you what they are and where I got them. (that second part is ALWAYS something I want to know when somebody throws numbers at me)

That’s a good point. I’m sure there are anomalies like that on both sides of any two compared figures. To some extent, they will cancel each other, but even if not, it will take 8 of these examples of showing 5 (assuming that your first unknown registration did post) where there really are only 2, to effect that number by 1%.
For my interests, I am not looking for hair splitting comparisons.

I think you would need to know the load, speed and torque. Then calculate the cantilever force against the tensile strength of the materials.:) LMAO I was only attempting to use that analogy to give a better image than a dot in a circle. It’s always more meaningful for me when I can think of a 3 dimensional picture than just a 2D.;)

As I mentioned before, I’m just multzing around with the membership list at the top of the page. These 11 are the only query tools I have, and you can see the first 5 really aren’t much use for this kind of ferreting.

1 User Name contains
2 and homepage contains
3 and ICQ Number contains
4 and AIM Handle contains
5 and Yahoo Messenger Handle contains
6 and Join Date is after
7 and Join Date is before
8 and Last Post is after
9 and Last Post is before
10 and Number of Posts is greater than
11 and Number of Posts is less than

The last 6 allow me to adjust the parameters for 3 fields. That’s not really a lot to work with.:( I don’t have actual database capabilities here.:o

SO ….. the facts of the day (as of March 6) are that of our 2,394 members posting, only 1,284 made it to 10 posts. Another 385 posted between 11 and 25 times. 212 posted from 26 to 50 times. There was 149 members posting 51 to 100 times and 257 members with more than 100 posts. If we have over 218,000 posts:eek:, it looks like our SENIOR members are the ones doing the lions share of it.:D (And that is where I came up with the 1.6% being our power supply.)

It looks to me as if a lot of traffic drives by to look at us;). Some may only stay over night but I’m sure there are quite a few camped out in the hills watching us:cool:. We can see how many have checked into the hotel, but less and less seem to stay at the party:p. Maybe we should change the name badges from SENIOR MEMBERS to PERMANENT RESIDENTS.:rolleyes:

You could say I spend a lot of time here plotting out curves.;)

This all makes sense as I am registered in two nics (but only use this one) and hubby has a seperate one as well....(that makes 3 for this household in case ya lost me there).

There is a lot of people present that we can’t see and I don’t mean the non-members that are shown at the bottom of the Pixies Place Forum Index page when we log in. I’m taking about our registered member that prefer to peek at us from the alley. The pixies that we can’t see are the ones that have chosen to be invisible and do not show up in the Currently Active Users box. There always seemed to be a difference between the members listed and the number showing as being at the site right now . :confused:

You know I couldn’t resist tracking this discrepancy.:rolleyes: I started jotting down these numbers each time I logged in. After a few weeks I found that whether we had a high of 44 or a low of 11 members on-line, we always had fewer members listed than showing in the numbers. It went from a high of 41% of our fellow citizens not being visible to a low of 12% that were hiding. It turns out that an average of 27% of use are peeking from the bushes at our neighbors at any time.;)

I just want to know one thing. Can I see up our Pixie’s skirts better from there? :p :p

A few of mine have had attachments, and a couple have had URLs, but most of mine have been text-only, as I'm NOT in the habit of pic posting. :P

Being the computer illiterate that I am, maybe I just wasn't doing it correctly, but I don't think a person can register more than once anymore by just changing the name and password. I know when I wanted to change my name to another, it kept telling me that I was already a member, and it wouldn't let me do it. I have 3 different AOL names, and I tried to register when I was signed on line under each one. It still recognized that I was BlueSwede every time. :confused:

It still recognizes me. It still says, Oh, hi, BlueSwede. And if I can somehow get around that and I try to pull up the register screen, it tells me that it shows that I am already registered. At this point, I am not interested in registering under another name. For a while I'd thought about using a different name to post pix, because I was embarrassed to have certain people I know who visit here see me that up close so to speak. After a while, I just figured, what the hell, and I posted them as BlueSwede anyway. Of course, like I said, I couldn't find any way around it anyway.

On the main Forums page (which you can get to if you click the Pixies Place Forums link, top left corner) the top will have the information about you, last time you were on, etc. And to the right is the link to LOG OFF. I think you have to hit THAT to get out of the system entirely (including cancelling all browser cookies). Again, check with one of the Forum Goddesses first (to make sure I got it right!).

Yep! I think you're right dadaist. In User CP under "Edit Options" there is a box to click whether you want to "Automatically log in when you return to this site". You can try clicking no for that maybe, BlueSwede. But.....don't go by me as I am as dumb as a bag o rocks when it comes to puters......so check with Lil first......huh?

Since the addition of the Birthday Box to our index page, I’ve been watching some of the info going past daily. With even less search capability than we had to work with than before, ferreting out general information has to be done kind of crudely and I don’t have a lot of balance check routes, but looking at what is in front of us, can be a surprise.

I’ve been doing an average of the age question Bibi asked a while back. (http://www.pixies-place.com:81/forums/showpost.php?p=231647&postcount=16)

First note should be that the daily average of members that have chosen to enter a date instead of just a day, is 77.86%. I only have data for about the last couple months and have been doing it on a daily basis. It’s also been interesting to see the names that haven’t been around lately.:( There seems to be a few I’ve recognized each day. I’m sure there could be a seasonal change with interesting spikes, but here is what we have so far.

With the exception of what I believe are two typos, (one for an 8 year old and another for a 3 year old, lol ), I believe there is the remote possibility of some younger members jacking off, … I mean up, their age. There also may be a deflation of the ages at the other end. ;) ……….. anyway-

The least birthdays listed for any day has been 11 with as many as 42 on the same day. The lowest age, of course, is given as 18 and the most senior member was 79 in this sample time frame.

The average age by the day, ran from a low of 27.627, to a high of 36.666.
So as of this moment, our average Pixie citizen is 31 years, 11 months and 29 days old at this point. ;)

I, personally, was surprised.:shock: I HAD the feeling there was a larger young presence than has shown up. But my other impression of more of the older members were doing the higher percentage of posting seems the same. I guess you have to have something to say, but it looks like a lot of young people are getting smarter about sex than we ever had the chance to do. lol The most senior members seem to be doing the least average posting as I think MOST of them have learned to keep quiet.:o It would be nice, Lilith :rolleyes:, to have a search engine, Lilith :rolleyes:, that let us search the most active posters and the average age, Lilith. :rolleyes:

The search engine is different but still does all it used to. If you go to the Member's page, which now includes Avs for easier identification, and click on # of posts at the top it will reorganize them in order of most active posters. All of those variables can be reorganized with this software. We have never had a way to calculate mean for age because until the new software people were not required to make it known.

You know I couldn’t resist tracking this discrepancy.:rolleyes: I started jotting down these numbers each time I logged in. After a few weeks I found that whether we had a high of 44 or a low of 11 members on-line, we always had fewer members listed than showing in the numbers. It went from a high of 41% of our fellow citizens not being visible to a low of 12% that were hiding. It turns out that an average of 27% of use are peeking from the bushes at our neighbors at any time.;)

I dunno about the skirt peeking but I perv inviso because when I'm home I just leave the window minimized. Since there is no "idle" thingy like on yahoo messenger its just easier to be inviso.
