ok people, Now that we've shown some interest, I'd like to know where we could get together. I'm pushing for Branson MO, as I can coordinate reservations and entertainment for us here, but feel free to post your own suggestions..
Let's make it happen!

Branson works! it's about 3 hours but thats nothing for the people coming from other states. I've actually never been that way in Missouri before so it'll be a good chance for me to see what all the tourism is about ;)

Branson wouldn't be too bad. Not sure I want to be there so soon after getting stuck there in the snow week of last Christmas! :)
It's about 8-9 hours for me from NE Illinois. Anyone want a lift?

Hey guys, I know there are a lot of you mid-westerners but if any of you watched the Super Bowl, you might condider my current hometown. No snow, warm breezes and perhaps a more liberal mindset than you are used to. Just a thought.

If you mean San Diego, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a Midwest gathering? :)

*laughs and considers draggin Silky down here even if he doesn't want to come just for the shits and giggles*
San Diego is a bit more than the 10-15 minute drive to Branson for me......and it's already in the 70's here so I doubt we have to worry about much snow during the "Fest"

Cabrylla just made me think of something. Nothing against Branson, but what'd be wrong with Springfield, MO? It's RIGHT off of I-44....
Branson's a bit south down the highway (unless it snows again like December, in which case it'll take all night to get there from Springfield ;) ).

Dadaist....nothing 'wrong' with Springfield, but there isn't the entertainment in Springfield that there is here in Branson.
And btw.......when is the last time it snowed in the summer in Missouri?????? ;) :P LOL

Just checked the other threads and it seems that late june is running at the forefront. If anyone wants hardcopy info on lodging, camping, entertainment, dining, etc, PM or E-mail me with your mailing addy and I will gladly snail mail you a packet.
As for renting a whole floor... there are literaly hundreds of lakeside resorts that will gladly rent anywhere from 1 to 10 cabins, sleeping 4 to 8 per, as long as they are pre-paid at the time of reservation. There has also been one member offer the use of his uncle's lakeside "cabin" (read that villa)...
