For all of you who got dumped on by snow...and even those who didn't....

Besides a snow day filled with Pixies visits....what's your favorite winter weather activity, indoors or out?

I absolutely adore the after effects of an entire day of snow!

The ground is covered and so therefore the acoustics at every perimeter is amazing! Not only does it seem warmer than the actual temperature, but I think I can hear my surroundings better. If a twig breaks from a branch in the woods behind my house........I can hear the crackle and the fall through the limbs of the tree from which it falls. Something so insignificant like this.............. becomes the main attraction!

I love the stars in winter. I feel so tiny in the winter sky! I never fail to look up when I get home from any place I have been.....regardless of the time of night or morning!

A crackling fire and plenty of pillows and blankets..........on the living room floor.............snuggling, wine and kissing!

These are a few of my favorite things!

It may not be exciting or sexy, but I love making a pot of soup or stew and some homemade bread. Sure makes the house smell yummy!

I love everything about winter.

But nothing like a good powder day o the slopes.

NOW IF IT WOULD SNOW>

The east coast got our snow again, they have no clue what to do with it.

Please send all unwanted snow to Colorado.

[If the SLIDERS in the Rocky Mountains could WORK the snow half as well as the SKIERS on the Appalachians, they wouldn’t need so much.;)] LMAO

Each year I find that I enjoy WATCHING the beauty of a pristine snow world more than PLAYING in it. But even in this old fashion winter, that is thrilling the gas company:mad:, I have to say that if the temperature has to move from “ideal”, I have to hope it goes DOWN. I still dread the thoughts of sweat pouring off of me as I listen to the rattling click of the August locust, even as I look for another log for the fire.

While I approach the winter chores less enthusiastically each year, I guess I live in the climate where I belong.

In no particular order:

1)DH Skiing
2)XC Skiing
3)Back Country Skiing
4) Snowshoeing with my kids
5) pulling kids around on sleds
5)building snow forts with kids
6) snowmobiling!!!
7)Hanging out with my wife on our porch and watching the snow come down while getting trashed on Martini's.
8) Getting wildly laid after # 7

If I didn;t love winter, I would be truly miserable like most of the people I know. For me, it's the BOMB!
