Up here in shippensburg, pa were expecting about 2 feet of snow by tomorrow night. my parents place is expecting 3 feet. It sounds like fun but my girlfriend wont let me take her car out to do donuts!

Who else is gonna get hit by this winter storm and what fun things are you going to do in it?

Hoping we won't get anymore of the winter stuff...we've had 3 days of continuous rain, hoping we don't float away...

Hi santiago! My brother from a different mother and fellow Pennsylvanian! I am on the lower N.E........about 50 or so miles from Philly! We are expecting 2 foot or more (recent upgrade) and I can't wait! The "green hornet" is stoked..(see pic I added) and we always have a block party of sorts when the snow get's this nutty! I have blackberry brandy on hand and a bit of Rock and Rye....to warm me instantly! LOL! The neighbors will come out soon to shovel.....and when it get's to be too much to keep on shoveling.....me and hubby will go to each neighbors house (bottles in hand and he on the "green hornet") and help with the snow removal!

Happy Snow-In! This has been a long time cumming.....well....since......the '96' storm!

Hmmmm....well if the guy that just gave the forcast (yesterday's I think, f**king hillbilly radio) if he is right and we only have 1 to 2 inches expected then that 10" i just shoveled must have been procreating on the ground...damn using that same logic means I only have a 1/2" penis....shit....

Well, Santiago, as of 1900 this evening, I found out that my state has closed all roads they maintain until 0400 tomorrow...nobody but emergency vehicles allowed on them. Therefore I *have* to stay in...aside from making trips out to the woodpile for more firewood. OK, by me, I actually like snow.

I feel your pain, Santiago.

Temp has plummeted to about 75F and if it gets any cooler

I may have to put on a t-shirt.

Remember, eating a woman is a technically difficult thing and requires

practice, and practice, and practice......

LixyChick---I have a "Red Hornet"like that.It is a Simplicity mower
that I use in the winter by putting a plowing blade&tire chains on
it.Even with a feature like positraction(in cars)it keeps getting stuck unless I use my snowblower first. The snow is SO deep, that
the wheels with the chains just dig a hole.I had a'79 AllWheel Drive,Blazer W/snow plow that I sold last year because we never
got enough snow to use it.So much for hindsight! Irish

M45---If you want mine you can have it!I just came inside to
warm up.I'm not done yet&I have been removing snow since
6:30AM.I was also out to shovel,my back deck off at 12:30AM.
We got over knee deep snow.I built my grandchildren swings
outside. One swing has a flexible seat. The snow is so deep that you can only see where the swing seat attaches to the hanging
chains. It's snowing again now.I just heard(on the radio)of a place in Delaware, that got 49"of new snow!I also just realised that I'm not 16 anymore. Irish

Irish... Ya we would love to have it, we should have 3 to 5 feet on the ground right now and we have nothing. This is the 4th year of drought, the mountians that should be white are brown.

looks like the storm also by-passed this part of NY state as well... a good thing... at last count we have had ~110 inches of snow this winter! thank goodness it warmed up in between the big snow storms... but there is still 2 feet on the ground. Getting warm this week so it should melt some and make a real mess of the roads....

I just have to say...WooHoo...it's almost 50 degrees today!! :) An extra present to go along with that gift of no snow earlier this week! Maybe spring really IS on the way!! :)

Lixy, that bit on "Cold nuff fer ya?" was terrific and very true.

I was out in LA one winter and walked out of the hotel in the morning where it was already in the 50's and commented how great it felt.

The hotel doorman replied, "You gotta' be from the midwest."
