I don't watch TV much anymore...(Pixies takes my time it seems)... but I used to. A group of my co-workers were talking about some shows that were coming to an end possibly next year, including Friends, Sopranos, and various others. SO we started talking about the best and worst endings to long term TV Series.
The best to me was M*A*S*H, but I loved the show and the wrapped it up neatly. But like everyone would expect out of me my other faves are all the weird or original ones.
Best. ST. Elsewhere......Having the series end and it all being being in the imagination of a kid with downs was great.
Next> The Newhart Show...When he woke up at the very end of this series in bed with his wife from the Bob Newhart show from 15 years before and it had been a dream....looked at her chest and says.."you should wear more sweaters"...
Worst!!!
Seinfeld: I liked seeing all the favorite characters, but I think they got lost in wanting all these people on the show and didnt come up with a good plot. The very end was a good idea with them saying all the exact same lines they said on the pilot...but other than that, a great series ends badly...and 31 million people had to watch....shame.
