my car while still good for around town wasn't for the long ride daily to school. so thinking i finally found how to get my gf to clean my house i gave it to her. started me thinking about what the best gift/bribe (not sure if my house'll get clean lol) the rest of you gave a gf/bf. btw i'll let you know if my house gets ckleaned lol.

My engagement ring! I accepted it and then I actually HAD to marry him! Hmmmmmmmmmm? Who'd of thunk you couldn't just get the ring and stay engaged forever? LMAO!

Best give I ever gave..........would have to be the divorce I gave to my first husband! He deserved it! LOL!

But seriously......Best I ever recieved was the proposal I got from my current husband! I told him years ago that I would never marry again. He tried and tried and finally I said, "The day you come sliding up to me on one knee with a huge diamond mounted in platinum and baguettes dripping off the sides and make me cry......I'll marry you"! I was kidding......and I knew he could never afford something like that then....or ever as far as I knew. But we never know what the future holds and on December 25, 2000, just after all the gifts were open....and me still looking like Mabel Bomgardner in my bathrobe and hair all askew......he called me back to the dining room and I went in and he wasn't there. I yelled, "Stop fucking around! I have to make breakfast and we have to get ready to go out!" From the corner of my eye I saw him come through the other doorway and down on his knee he went and slid over to me with a black velvet box in his hand and opened it and held it up and said, "Will you marry me now"? The ring wasn't important (though it was the exact ring I described earlier). The fact that after 10 years.....he had remembered, verbatum, what I had told him just to fend him off for a while.......and the fact that he did make me cry deep sobbing tears........I said yes! If you knew my hubby you'd understand just how way out of character this was for him! And that.........dzbuster....was the best gift anyone has ever given me or that I ever gave anyone! A memory!
