What a sad day for fellow Aussies

Most of the country is in flames with bushfires of varying degrees....hundreds of homes lost and 4 lives (that i know of)

And now today i turn on the radio and hear that there has been a very serious train derailment....7 confirmed dead and more expected....

Damn life can suck sometimes!!

As an Aussie I want to thank you all for your comforting thoughts and prayers.

Just as I write this, a helicopter is flying overhead to dump water on a fire in the hills behind me. No danger to us but the smell and smoke is all around.

Summer in Australia always carries the threat of bushfires but they have been fierce this summer with lower than average rainfall and a hot summer everywhere.

No fires this far north in Oz, but they came within 200 yards

of my Sister's place down south.

The train wreck just sucked.
