A topless pilot, a clown on a unicycle and a flying pig provided plenty of thrills at the Glen Paragliding Club's annual flying festival from Lion's Head to Camps Bay beach in Cape Town on Saturday.

The 21 paraglider and hang-glider pilots competed for various awards including most accurate landing and funniest outfit.

They included Gaynor Schoeman who flew in a blue G-string, hoping to win the "breast landing" award.

Clown Stef Juncker managed to pull off a perfect landing on his unicycle.

Club chairman Andy Forbes and Denise Major flew down in a plastic pig which needed some reconstructive surgery after a crash landing.

Dr Jaco Parsons from the Durbanville Medi Clinic came dressed in his green surgical outfit. The annual event aimed to popularise the sport, but was mainly about fun. - Staff Reporter
