Lilith and Pixis-Sprite in particular:

If you remember from the chatroom, I've had numerous problems with my browser locking up lately.

I have noticed that it happens nearly every time I try to click on an attachment in the various pixies-place forums. IIRC, it has not happened at any other time. This problem has only popped up in the last few days.

The question, therefore, is:
has there been any change to the settings or protocalls for attachments in the past week or so? Only thing I can think of that may be causing this, since to my knowledge, the settings/protocalls on my 'puter have not changed in that time period.

Yes, I checked, as far as I can tell, they haven't changed from my end.

For the site users in general: anyone else having this problem?

BTW, I am using a windows 98 OS, with IE 5 browser.

I have the same exact set up as you and have had no problems at all. Nothing at the site or in chat has been changed at all.........in a long time. Have you cleaned out your system??? done a defrag etc?

No, but those were my next steps. I was able to see IenkiMoonshine's latest thread without any problems.

gekkogecko---I don't know if this will help.Since I got my computor
back from the shop, and I know that it is clean, about once a week,
I do a complete antivirus scan.It takes forever but it is worth it!
My wife set the whole thing up,but I think that is the Norton Anti-
virus scan. You can see it checking everything in your system.I hope this helps you.I have no interest or time for chat & know
nothing about it but this might help! Irish

NOT a moderator here........but I hope I can input!

Lilith and Irish have great advice! I defrag once a week.........more often if I am particularly pervy.....and I got a copy of Norton System Works 2002 from a very special friend recently......... who told me............DO THIS!

It is not only for viruses.........it betters your puter performance! Ergo: faster downloads, better boots......etc.!!!!! Costs about $60.00 American........unless you know somone who can burn it! Well worth the price though! It cleaned up my puter.......though it did take some time!

Hope this helps!

I'm not a Norton salesman.I don't even play one on T.V.I just thought that I would let people know that the Norton system, was
suggested by the company that cleaned out my computer system.
The owner is a friend of one of my daughters and would suffer
serious repercussions if he steered me wrong. It is:
