Transitions – Howard Dean
The Democratic Party has chosen former presidential candidate Howard Dean to be its new party chairman. Mr. Dean has promised to rebuild the state parties, to use technology aggressively to reach out to voters, and make a better job of explaining party policy.

I saw this thread (as this is usually how you post your obituary threads) and thought, "oh great he gets the job and drops dead of a stroke from excitement".
Should prove to be interesting! His organization did a teriffic job using technology to keep people aware of what was happening in his campaign.

LOL - I thought the same thing and opened this thread with dread.
As for Dean, all I can say is I know that he can do better for the party than what we've had the past couple years. I saw him speak in Albany in November, and what he had to say was just SO inspirational, and from what he's done, he's far from just talk. So way to go Dr. Dean!

Well, he would have done better in the general election than Kerry, I think. No terrible Senate voting record, and solid record of gubernatorial achievement. All of that is built on the assumption that he could keep a lid on his emotions! :devilish: He might make a solid Chairman. Not that I care. I vote Libertarian alot of times. I had to vote for Bush, much as I disliked his domestic policies, because Kerry had an anti-defense voting record.
