Speaking as one who had to wear that miserable plaid pleated skirt, white blouse and navy blue blazer for years, I cannot fathom the attraction. I can understand the "youth" issue, but those ugly damned uniforms are not in the least bit sexy. At least not to me.

I believe it is all about the taking of innocence and the forbiddeness of it all...it is naughty as hell, and I do not think it is just solely for a look. It's not only the clothes, but it's the idea that the girl is young and virginal, yet not necessarily completely innocent.

For a lot of men, I think it harks back to their school days when the girls they lusted after were school girls, but they never quite managed to make it with them, as the girls always went for older guys. Well that's what a friend of mine always said the attraction was.
