Well a Tsunami is essentially an underwater earthquake. What is an earthquake? Well it's the tetonic plates bumping into each other. It's how mountains were created as well. I think the people of the world forget that earth is not just a planet of rock, but is also a living thing. Earth is just doing it's natural thing. There are other places around the world that have major fault lines. There is one along the west coast of north america as well.

Mark,
A tsunami is the slosh that happens when the seaflooor moves suddenly and vertically. They happen regularly below the threshhold of perception.
