#20: Today's featured aircraft by Dicksbro, the Packard/Le Pere, never actually served in World War One. It was often referred to by the acronym LUSAC ((L)ePere (U)nited (S)tates (A)rmy (C)ombat). It was originally intended to be a two-seat fighter, but the US couldn't actually carry out the grand plans it had to build flocks of combat aircraft, train the aircrew, and station them in France before the end of the war. The "11" is the model number, and is the Arabic eleven, not the Roman numeral two.
