Winnetou / Karl May
Hi all,
I have a little spare time those days and so IŽd like to ask you if the three "Winnetou" films are famous in the rest of the world also.
Here they are very wellknown and famous, especially as they had been a german production.
And do you know the books of Karl May? It was the pride of many boys of my generation to have read them. The only time I was in Dresden I went to Karl Mays house that is a museum today, but it was closed (a Monday I think).
There is a special way of May to show Americas history.
The settlers are often the bad ones, the indians are more kinda heroes.
If you know the stories, do you like this point ow view?
