*chuckles* Ok I couldn't resist but post this on the boards, but I found it amusing.

So, what sort of food delivery "service" would you like to see? :P While we are on the subject of food (one of my favorite, probablly would have become a chef if I wasn't going down the current career path me thinks)...

1) Your favorite dish to eat?
2) Favorite dish to make?
3) Your favorite food disaster :D

As for me:

1) If I had to pick one, it would have to be Kalbi, a korean dish which is basically marinated short ribs, but the key is the cut of meat, it just doesn't taste the same if you substitute!

2) Tough one, I LOVE food...while this may not be a favorite, I do like it as it is a labor of love, lasagna. It is so time consuming prepping everything, then assembling it but when you hear those noises of contentment and the look on your loved one's faces...ahhhh, so rewarding :)

3) Hmmm...this isn't cooking per say but...when I was a small child. I was into making drink concoctions. By process of experimentation I discovered a "new" elixir by mixing Country Time Lemonade powder drink mix with Nestle's Strawberry Quick to create a strawberry lemonade (I was around 8 years old hehe). Well the Quick ran out and all we had left was the normal Chocolate Quick. Hmmm, I thought to myself, surely if strawberry worked, chocolate would taste even better! Using the same measurements, mixing furiously with my spoon my eyes were excited as I watched the liquid in my tall glass become a sickening brownish color. I lifted my glass to my lips, taking a long swallow...quickly leaning over the sink to spit it all out, trying to get that disgusting taste out of my mouth :D.

I know we have foodies on this site, share with me please!

1. could never pick one fave dish

2. I love making ornate salads and home made dressings with my fresh herbs.

3. not exactly a disaster but my brother and I used toplay "Mikey" when it was just us home alone in the summer time. I'd blindfold him and mix up some concoction that usually contained dogfood and tabasco along with some horrendous left overs. Then I gingerly fed him a BIG spoonful. :D He never learned not to go first :D

1) Your favorite dish to eat? ~To many to name. I am very partial to anything spicy though.

2) Favorite dish to make? ~Since I'm no where near a very good cook I like things that are simple. I do make great smothered burritos, meatloaf and baked beans.

3) Your favorite food disaster ~That would have to be the first Thanksgiving dinner I cooked alone. We were supposed to eat at 2 and didn't until almost 6pm. It really is important to thaw those big birds out. And did you know there is bags of body parts in them that shouldnt' be cooked with the bird? :D:

1) Your favorite dish to eat? hard to choose. i really like cornish hens stuffed with wild rice and some green beans with toasted pine nuts for a veggie
2) Favorite dish to make? can't choose here although getting out the pasta machine and having my daughter help roll out the dough is always a good time. then again i really enjoy making old fashioned fudge even if it does take hours and one little screw up can junk the whole batch.
3) Your favorite food disaster--having to clean sweet-n-sour sauce off the ceiling...TWICE!...not a favorite at the time but i can laugh now. :D

1) Your favorite dish to eat?
I love a good linguine with (really, really) spicy fresh marinara sauce -- heavy on the garlic and fresh basil. Add some calimari and salmon, maybe some clams, and a couple of shrimp....put some balsamic vinegar-marinated asparagus spears over it.....and you have a meal. ;)

2) Favorite dish to make?
My signature dish is Indonesian peanut sauce (a spicy tomato and red bell pepper base), basmati rice, Indonesian corn cakes, and a special mousse I make for dessert. :D

3) Your favorite food disaster
One time I tried to bake a 3 layer iced cake. 'Nuff said. :p
