Not a gangster flick.;)
I enjoy the irony of the origin not being known for this most frequently quoted phrase. It’s from a film that I feel should be psychology/philosophy 101. Man as he is!

Would it help if I could say it with a Spanish accent? “Booges?..... We doe nee no stinking booges!”:)

It's been quoted os often that Mel Brooks HAD to include it in Blazing Saddles. I truly do believe T of SM to be a study in people.:)

[Catch22- I couldn’t recall him calling her “precious” because of the way they went back and forth.:) I took African Queen as default when the German ship runs into his home-made torpedo while they were getting married.]

If i'm right ... i think i am .... then here's a new one, not quite as hard as yall's though, but its the best I could come up w/at the moment.

Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, bitch, you knew I was a snake."

dancingrugger

I just realized i think that was in more than one movie, but the one i was originally thinking of is relatively recent, at least compared to the other quotes on this thread.

Natural Born Killers

And in reference to the previous badges statement:

One of the most oft-quoted lines in cinema history has often been misquoted. "Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!" in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) was actually: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"

heres mine:

"Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hangin' curveball, high fiber, good Scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent crap...I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days."
